This policy explains what personal data Intellyra ("we", "us") collects when you visit intellyra.tech or use the Intellyra service, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: your library is yours, your chats are yours, and we don't sell either.
§1Who we are
Intellyra is a study copilot made in India: you upload the books and notes you trust, and ask questions answered from them with page-level citations. For anything in this policy, reach us at hello@intellyra.tech.
§2What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, and login credentials (passwords are stored only as salted hashes).
- Your library — the books, notes, and papers you upload. This is the heart of the service and gets its own section below (§4).
- Your questions and chats — what you ask and the answers you receive, kept so you can revisit them.
- Payment details — handled by our payment processor; we receive confirmation of payment and plan, never your card number.
- Basic usage data — pages visited, features used, approximate region, browser type, collected through privacy-respecting analytics. No advertising profiles.
- Support correspondence — emails you send us.
§3How we use it
- To run the service: index your library, answer your questions, keep your history available to you.
- To bill you for the plan you chose and send receipts.
- To respond to support requests.
- To understand how the product is used in aggregate, so we can improve it.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked for it.
§4Your library and your chats
Because your uploaded books and notes are the whole product, we are explicit:
- Private to you. Your library is visible only to your account. It is never shared with other users, published, or sold.
- Never used for training. We do not use your documents or chats to train models — ours or anyone else's.
- Model providers see only what's needed. To answer a question, relevant passages from your library are sent to an AI model provider along with your question. Providers we use are bound by terms that prohibit training on this data. The current list is available on request.
- Deletion means deletion. Delete a document, a chat, or your account, and it is removed from our systems, with residual copies purged from backups within 30 days.
- Support access. We look at an individual chat only if you share it with support to debug a problem.
§5Cookies
We use cookies needed for the service to work — keeping you signed in, remembering preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
§6Who we share data with
- Service providers — hosting, storage, AI model providers (§4), email, analytics, and payment processing, all under contract to process data only on our behalf.
- Legal requirements — if a law, court order, or government authority validly requires it.
No one else. No advertisers, no data brokers, no "partners".
§7How long we keep it
Your library and chats: for as long as you keep them, or until you delete your account. Account and billing records: as long as law requires (typically eight years in India for financial records). Support emails: up to two years. Analytics: aggregated or deleted within fourteen months.
§8Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — and, where it applies to you, the GDPR — you can ask us to:
- show you the personal data we hold about you,
- correct it if it's wrong,
- delete it, where we have no legal duty to keep it,
- export your library and chats in a usable format,
- stop using it for a purpose you object to.
Email hello@intellyra.tech and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India or your local supervisory authority.
§9Security
Encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and the principle of least privilege across our systems. No method is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
§10Children
Intellyra is for users aged 13 and up; if you are under 18, use it with a parent or guardian's consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
§11Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email. We will never quietly weaken your protections.
